About

My name is Marian Daniells. I’m an undercover tomboy from San Diego and a journalism major at Northeastern University in Boston. I’m a freak about lists, my black lab, Chip, and the natural high I get from sharing things I shouldn't. I love the thrill of living spontaneously and the whir of my computer.

As far as journalistic credentials go, I’ve worked at Marie Claire magazine, held positions (Inside Columnist, Inside Editor) at my college paper, done some work with the local Fenway News, and worked with the New England Newspaper and Press Association (NENPA) writing obituaries and transitions. Currently, I'm an intern with Latitude News, a startup which covers international news coverage and makes it relevant to domestic readers by tying it into local culture and context. I'm also the founder and Editor-in-Chief of a new general interest magazine at Northeastern called WOOF Magazine.

I started MetrOrganics in September 2011 as a place to gather information and news pertaining to the Boston organic market and the busy Bostonians with a potential interest in living healthier and happier lives. I also keep another, less structured blog, but hope to maintain a more focused, professional forum here. As I delve more into the world of health trends, I become more and more enthusiastic about the benefits and changes that can come about from eating healthfully. I'm increasingly starting to consider this a future career path and/or writing beat.
